1 Results of the Brazilian Blow-out

We have been getting a lot of questions about our new treatment called the Brazilian Blowout, so when a client came in I jumped at the opportunity to track the process and results of the treatment to show everyone just what kind of results you can achieve and if this treatment is right for you!
Step 1) Client gets their hair washed
Step 2) Clients' natural hair is blow dried with no styling
Step 3) Treatment solution is applied and is then blow dried and straighten into the hair (picture taken when half the clients hair was finished to show the contrast)
Clients' hair is completely straighten
Step 5) Clients hair is washed, and a mask and serum is applied.
Step 6) The final step client gets there hair blast dried with no styling

These are the results of the amazing new treatment to keep you hair shiny, frizz free and manageable.

0 Stylist and Technician of The Month

Stylist of The Month:

GIO

Gio is entering his 12th year in the hair and fashion industry. Originally as an assistant stylist to such notables as Sarah Mclaughlan, and CBC’s Gloria Macavenko. He then joined the original Toni & Guy team for their Canadian debut in Vancouver Robson street and eventually completed his training at the Oxford street Toni & Guy Academy in London, England, where he studied classic and advanced cutting techniques.

Most recently Gio completed his training as a teacher of the Toni & Guy technique at the Madison Avenue TiGi academy in New York City, where he studied under Thomas Osborne (Educational Director).

His career at Toni & Guy has allowed him to diversify his talents by participating in fashion shows and photo shoots. Shows ranging from Chanel to Club Monaco and working with professional models such as Noot Seear, as well as styling Mi Jung Lee for CTV News.

Photo shoot highlights include working with London stylist, Sasha Mascolo and more notably, in 2008, Gio’s mens collection photo was selected to appear in the Toni&Guy global collections photography book.

Aside from his career in hair, Gio is a world traveler and his journeys have taken him around the world, from Italy to India, and each year brings him a little closer to his goal of visiting all of the ancient wonders of the world.

He’s also had extensive training in the theatre and spent his youth on the stage. You may recently have caught him on the globally televised Opening Ceremonies of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics where he was proud to participate and share in his talents with an enormous cast of 3600 performers.

Specializing in all hair texture with an acute knowledge in curly hair, a session with Gio will leave you refreshed, renewed, and relaxed as he creates a personalized shape that is created with sensitivity and a distinct sense of style.

Technician of the Month:

RIO

Rio has 23 years of experience in the hair industry. Toni&Guy is fortunate to have him as our Technical Creative Director, a position he has held for 8 1/2 years, since moving to Vancouver from Montreal, where he served as Technical Director for Pure Salon.

He is a North American Master colourist who has won many awards including; L'oreal Professional Look of The Year,two time winner of Toni&Guy Photographic award for Colourist of the Year and Toni&Guy Photographic award Total Look Winner.

Colourist to the stars, he has collaborated on numerous films, TV shows and print ads. Celebrities sighted in Rio chair include; Kristen Stewart, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Rachel McAdams, Tori Spelling, Ryan Gosling, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lee Lee Sobieski, Ben Foster, Ray Liotto, Linda Carter, Parker Posey, Eddie Izzard, Vanessa Hudgens, Carla Gugino, Evangeline Lilly, Jena Malone, Emily Browning, Brittany Robertson, Dolph Lundgren, Elizabeth Mitchell, Abbie Cornish, Anthony Michael Hall, Amanda Bynes, Mira Sorvino.
